The Comfy vs The Oodie – Ultimate Show-Down!
It's time to get comfortable! The temperature has fallen, and it is becoming colder outside. Everyone is preparing for sweater season by pulling out their hoodies and, most importantly, their thick blankets for cuddling time!
Why is it that wearing an enormous hoodie is always more comfortable? Because all that extra space adds to the coziness. And having one that wraps around you like a blanket? That is the ultimate in coziness, which can only be obtained from a sweatshirt blanket (aka a blanket hoodie).
The Oodie vs. The Comfy blankets that serve as hoodies have recently become highly popular among everyone. They provide the warmth of a real blanket while simultaneously providing the comfort of a hoodie! There have been so many possibilities to choose from, such as The Comfy Vs. The Oodie, but we'll assist you in selecting the ideal one for the season!
Each is an excellent choice, but we want you to get the most out of your blanket hoodies.

Comfy Comparison with Oodie
The original sweatshirt blanket, with a wonderfully delicate pattern, is the Comfy. It has a velour-like microfiber that is incredibly soft to the touch. It's also reversible, and the interior lining is made of soft sherpa. Another fantastic feature of Comfy is that it comes in a range of suitable colors for everybody.
The founders of the original Comfy were two brothers. When one of them spotted his son using his oversized old sweatshirt as a blanket, it was like an innovative idea struck his mind. Furthermore, the recent success of weighted blankets gave him confidence that there was a market for them.
After successfully investing in the project on Shark Tank, their product became a trending sensation, and we owe them huge respect and gratitude for kicking off this cozy trend—especially during the frigid winter months.
The Comfy has a polyester shell and a sherpa-lined lining! Depending on the style, you can choose between a single layer and a double layer of protection. The Comfy can be machine washed.
The Comfy is available in three styles: Original, Dream, and Teddy Bear Quarter Zip. The Original is double-layered, The Dream is single-layered, and the Teddy Bear allows you to zip your hoodie up to a quarter of the way. These are available in solid colors as well as a limited number of designs. There is also one front pocket where your hands can be kept toasty.
The Oodie is the new brand in the market for enormous hoodies, but it's taken the globe by storm! It quickly became a sensation due to its very soft Australian Sherpa fleece lining and bright velvety exterior.
While more pricey than most other sweatshirt blankets, the Oodie comes in various adorable patterns ranging from sloths to garlic bread. I've even seen individuals on TikTok go out with it and use it as a fashion statement, which was cool!
This Oodie brand is based in Australia. However, they also have a selection of Oodies available on their other country sites. The Oodie is a large hooded blanket that anyone may use for comfort! They, like the others, offer a one-size-fits-all approach with a variety of styles.
The exterior of the Oodie is made of plush flannel fleece, which keeps you warm and sheltered from the elements. The interior is edged with sherpa fleece, which has a similar feel to sheep's fleece! They claim that their fleece is a durable polyester fabric that keeps you warm. The Oodie can be machine washed.
The Oodie comes in a variety of styles. Only two solid color Oodies are available on their US website: pink and grey. They do have more fun styles available, such as the Corgi Oodie, Koala Oodie, Otter Oodie, and more. These are all one-size-fits-most and have a length that does not reach the floor. If you're buying for friends or family, you can also get a pack of Oodies in a variety of styles.
Comfy and Oodie Comparison – Pricing
The Comfy prices range from $39.99 to $49.99. However, if you want one for your child, they have a style for $29.99.
These Oodies are quite expensive! They start at $99 for one and go up to $594 for a Mega Pack with six Oodies.
The Comfy Vs. The Oodie: What to Choose?
I include this since I've been asked numerous times: better, the Comfy or the Oodie?
And I always give the same answer. It is conditional.
If you're looking for a sweatshirt blanket to relax with at home while watching a movie or a quick Christmas present for a buddy, I'd recommend the Comfy. It's well-made, comes in a variety of colors, and is reasonably priced.
I'd recommend the Oodie if you want the greatest quality, the "puffiest" lining, and the cutest patterns. I would also choose the Oodie over the Comfy for particularly tall folks, as the Oodie is slightly longer. However, keep in mind that the Oodie is near twice the price of the Comfy!
